So what are we doing? What is a "less toxic" transition?
Frequently asked questions
We've been hearing about organic everything for at least a decade now. Does it really matter that much? Does it matter to me? Unfortunately, most people don't realize how much we are affected until life altering events such as cancer, endocrine disease, or unexplained health issues occur. We (you and I) will work together to determine what parts of your home or life need a detox. We will create a plan to get rid of carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, PFAS and more. Why toxin-minimal? Achievable goals are the ones we all stick to and get good at. Our homes and communities are still laden with stuff we don't need, but we can make major improvements that have lasting effects.
This can mean diet, cleaning products, beauty products, children's playrooms, etc. The toxins in plastics (PFAS), cleansers, hair and make up products (asbestos, phthalates, benzenes) furniture (formaldehydes) and toys (all of the above) can be really overwhelming to our systems and build up to damaging levels as time goes on. We will tailor a manageable program for you, relying on research, and prioritizing your health and that of your family.
Sadly no, "Clean", is now a multibillion dollar industry meant to sell you the idea of safety. PFAS, carcinogens, endocrine disruptors and inflammatory chemistry can still be found in many clean products and their packaging. It's an overwhelming marketplace. I will offer product recommendations in different categories, while working with your budget. Sometimes the cleaner, safer option is also the least expensive one.
